Here's the purpose of the role:
Lead, create and develop the design of our publications and marketing assets to inspire and educate Muslim children to achieve their potential through faith.
Here are your key responsibilities:
Lead the design of all books, games and other resources within the Learning Roots portfolio, spanning both physical and digital assets.
Generate compelling visual ideas and concepts collaborating with authors, writers and copywriters, relevant to each of the child development stages.
Lead and manage the end to end production process of titles (layout, copy, artwork, etc) within deadlines and budgets. Work with internal and external teams, and ensure publications are accurate, free of errors.
Lead, manage and direct other designers, illustrators and agencies in developing and completing projects.
Recruit designers, illustrators, video creatives and agencies to deliver portfolio and marketing objectives.
Set and guard the standard for design, layout and branding to ensure visual consistency of portfolio and marketing assets.
Lead the design, development and application of the Learning Roots visual brand identity across all company marketing assets and portfolio content.
Work with sales and marketing to develop compelling marketing assets across all channels.
Here are the knowledge and skill requirements for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Art, or Visual Communication preferred
5 years experience in children's publications preferred
Proven experience in design and art direction
Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
A strong creative thinker
An eye for detail with critical thinking
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Passionate about inspiring children to be great
Prioritise, organise and manage time effectively
Meeting deadlines and managing schedules and budgets
